CampusKart Privacy Policy

1. What Information We Collect

• Official Campus Identity: Institutional email address, verified name, department, and optional hostel/block details.
• Marketplace Data: Your posted listings, photos, conditions, price tags, and ratings.
• In-App Safety Logs: Messages sent via the chat system are scanned and processed by automated safety filters to prevent policy violations and off-platform harassment.

2. Purpose of Data Processing

Your data is processed strictly to maintain a safe campus marketplace, verify campus affiliation, enable buyers and sellers to communicate, and maintain community safety. We never sell student data or share personal data with external third-party advertisers.

3. Right to Access & Data Portability

Under the India DPDP Act, you have the right to request a complete copy of all your digital personal data stored on CampusKart. You can generate a full machine-readable JSON archive of your profile, listings, and transaction history at any time from your Account Settings.

4. Right to Erasure & Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time through the app. Upon deletion, your personal identifiers (name, email, department, photos) are permanently wiped and anonymized from our production databases, and your active listings are closed.
